MarApp is developed by MarAlliance.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data at any time using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Inside the MarApp (Fastest)

1. Open MarApp and log in.
2. Go to your Profile (Diary tab).
3. Tap the Settings (Gear) icon in the top right.
4. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the list.
5. Confirm your decision. Your account will be deleted immediately.

Method 2: Via Email Request

If you no longer have the app installed, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

• Email: info@maralliance.org
• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• Body: Please include the email address or username associated with your MarApp account.

Note: Email requests may take up to 7 business days to process.

What Happens to Your Data?

• Data Deleted Immediately: Your personal profile details (Name, Username, Email, Password, Profile Picture), push notification tokens, social connections (followers/following), event participation records, and community memberships are permanently erased.
• Data Retained (Anonymized): Because MarApp supports marine conservation and scientific research, your logged sightings, catch reports, and effort tracks will be retained. However, they will be permanently decoupled from your identity and completely anonymized.
